Celeste Way, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, after a hard-fought courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 30, 1974, Celeste lived a life marked by unwavering faith, boundless love, and a radiant spirit that touched every person she met.
Celeste’s greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, who brought light and laughter to her days. Her love for them was immeasurable, and she cherished every moment spent as their GiGee. She found deep fulfillment in her work at the Sale Barn and dedicated more than 30 years to helping others feel beautiful as a talented and compassionate beautician.
Celeste was a spitfire – sharp, witty, and full of life. She kept those closest to her on their toes with her no-nonsense attitude and fierce honesty. She believed in tough love and never hesitated to speak the truth, but every word she said came from a heart motivated by deep love. Her personality was magnetic, and she could spar with the best of them, always leaving others laughing and thinking. Her boldness was matched only by her compassion, and she had a way of making people feel stronger just by being in her presence.
Known for her dazzling smile and contagious laughter, Celeste had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and loved. Her heart was immense—always ready to serve, always putting others before herself. Her strength and grace throughout her battle with cancer were a testament to her deep faith and resilience. She never wavered in her belief that God is good, even when life was hard to understand.
Celeste’s relationship with Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. She lived to glorify the Lord and encouraged others to seek His love, mercy, and forgiveness. Her legacy is one of faith, kindness, and selflessness—a legacy that will live on in the countless lives she touched.
Celeste’s love for cowboy and western culture reflected her bold and beautiful spirit. Her children and grandchildren will carry forward the life lessons she instilled in them, and her faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Noel Way; her children JP Free and wife Torri; Brittney Warren and husband Logan; Chassity Free and fiancé Caleb Mitchell; Whittney Way and wife Ashley; her parents Odis Lee Slone, and Lucia Dee and stepfather Max Harris; her brother Timothy Lee Slone and wife/Special Sister Heather; Nick Thomas and wife Melissa Obory; special friend Kris Gather; sisters Ashley Wiles and husband Clynt; Abrey Culley; and Gina Hall and husband Farral; and her eight cherished grandchildren: Bexley, Loxley, Linley, Ledger, Ripley, Easton, Hallyn, and Zayden.
Celeste was preceded in death by her grandparents Odie and Wanda Slone, Grandpa Dee Ledford, and her beloved daughter Torie Thomas.
In honor of Celeste’s life, may we all turn to the Lord and embrace the love and grace she so passionately believed in. Her laughter may echo in our hearts, but her legacy will live on forever.
