Charles E. Griffith, 93, of Wister, Oklahoma, passed away on September 16, 2026, in Wister, Oklahoma.
Charlie was born on January 8, 1933, in Shady Point, Oklahoma, to Jewell (Davidson) Griffith and Jesse Griffith.
Charlie was the last of the Cat Skinners. He loved building log roads and ponds and enjoyed fishing and squirrel hunting. Charles was a very social person, and everyone liked him. He will be remembered for his friendly nature, hard work, and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bill Griffith and James “Buck” Griffith.
Survivors include his two sons, Kip Griffith of Wister, Oklahoma, and Kevin Griffith of Poteau, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Devin Griffith of Houston, Texas, and Jessie Griffith of Dallas, Texas; one granddaughter,
Charli Case of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Joann Evans of Summerfield, Oklahoma, and Audrey Griffith of Calera, Oklahoma; along with other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
Charlie will be cremated, with arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
