
Dale Haskins, 79, of Pocola, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home in Drumright, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on January 27, 1945, in Pocola, Oklahoma, to Harold and Geraldine (Sephus) Haskins. He was raised in Pocola, where he formed lifelong bonds with family and friends. At the age of 20, Dale enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving in Vietnam for 3 ½ years. During his service, he received several medals in recognition of his dedication and sacrifice for his country. Dale’s patriotism remained a defining aspect of his life, and he took great pride in his military service.
After returning home from the Navy, Dale transitioned into a successful career in the income tax and accounting business. He established businesses in both Texas and California before returning to Oklahoma to retire. His retirement years were filled with cherished moments spent alongside his cousin and best friend, Linda Conner. Together, they shared countless adventures and laughter that became the heart of many fond memories.
Dale was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa, and his grandchildren Stephanie, Chance, and Levi, as well as great-grandchildren Jackson, Laney, Logan, Paisley, Kylie, Oaklee, and Lloyd. He also leaves behind his nephews, Michael and David Haskins, and many extended family members and cousins in Oklahoma and Texas.
Dale’s love for his family, his country, and his friends was unwavering, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him. We will love and miss you, Papa Dale.
