Dallas Haskell Quinn – Lewis was born on July 21, 1941 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Lillie (Ripley) Thompson and James Quinn and passed away on March 30, 2026 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma.
Dallas’s grandchildren lovingly called him “Papa Bear.” He always worked hard to provide for his family and was known as a very kind and caring soul. Dallas proudly served his country in the United States Navy, holding the rank of G-5. He also enjoyed playing baseball during his time at Poteau High School.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Quinn of Wilburton, Oklahoma; his daughter, Kay Walls of Wilburton, Oklahoma; his brother, Jackie Bush of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents; his son, David Lewis, Sr.; his sister, Juanita Thompson; and three brothers.
Funeral Service for Dallas Haskell Quinn – Lewis, 84, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
