Funeral Service for Daniel Curtis Henderson, 67 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 2:00pm on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Laird Cemetery in Pocola, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Daniel Curtis Henderson Sr., 67, of Spiro, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026. He was born on January 24, 1959, in Poteau, where he was also raised.

Daniel was a man whose life was rooted in family and connection. He was known for his strength, presence, and the love he carried for those closest to him. Whether through his words, laughter, or quiet support, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Ladell Phillips; his four children, Caleb Henderson, Danielle Ritter, Daniel Henderson Jr., and Deshane Salas; and his nine cherished grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.

Daniel is also survived by his brothers, Jerry Henderson and Byron Clayton, and his sister, Sharon Waugh, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Bluford and one grandson Zachary Ritter.

Daniel’s legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the family he loved deeply. He will be remembered always and missed beyond measure.
