Dennis Bowers or as many knew him uncle D is proceeded in death by his wife of 25 years Dodie Bowers of Poteau and his parents Howard and June Bowers of Jerseyville Illinois. He was a vast lover of outdoors, especially the lake and having some bbq around. He was a man of many talents wood working and grilling was his best. Dennis was a retired truck driver with many years and miles of over the road and later did local runs.
Uncle D is survived by niece Carmen Futch of Poteau, Frank & Rhonda Johnson of Poteau, Raeanna & Robert Shoat of Poteau Leona Ward of Poteau and Leslie & Daniel Clark of Keota. He has a gang of nieces and nephews he enjoyed and loved dearly. He will be greatly missed by so many.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Services for Dennis will be held 10am – Saturday, April 25, 2026, Graveside at Reichert Cemetery in Reichert, Oklahoma with Reverend Frank Johnson officiating and burial to follow.
