Dewey “Glen” Glendon Johnson Jr, of Poteau, Oklahoma was born March 7, 1947 in Walnut Ridge, AR to Dewey and Patsy (Halstead) Johnson, and passed away January 28, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 71.

 

He is survived by; four daughters, Adonia Becerra and husband Artemio Becerra-Nunez, Sherry Leeling, Amanda Johnson, Esther Johnson; three sons, Rory Johnson and wife Kimberly, Ariel Johnson and wife Jamie, Elisha Johnson; three sister, Leona Staggs, Kathy Brown, Debbie Johnson; nine grandchildren and, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Glen was very proud of his time serving our county in the United States Army.

 

He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Aircraft Crewman Badge, Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

 

Glen loved his family and was a member at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Poteau.

 

Funeral service will be held 11:30 am, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Poteau, Oklahoma with President Bob Owens officiating. Burial will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR. Glen requested that there be no viewing or visitation. Services are under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma.
