Funeral Service for Donald Ray Mackey, 85 of Shady Point, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Brother Clint Beesley officiating. Burial will follow at Slaytonville Cemetery in Slaytonville, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Donald was born on February 19, 1938 in Monroe, Oklahoma to Cora (Solomon) Mackey and Russell Leon Mackey and passed away on May 7, 2023 in Shady Point, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mackey; parents; son, Keith Ray Mackey; brothers, James Mackey, and Vernon Mackey; sister, Betty Durant, and Bernice Kilpatrick. Donald was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. He loved spending time in his garden.
Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Miller and husband John; grandchildren, John Miller, Elizabeth Miler, Mary Miller, Shyanna Miller, Lucinda Lee and husband Brendan, Keith Mackey, Mariah Mackey and husband Vern, Nicholas Mackey; great grandchildren, Lilly, Ella, Annabelle, Lea, Amelia; sister, Agnes Kersh and husband Rufus; numerous other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be John Miller, Brendan Lee, Keith Mackey, and Vern.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 3:00-5:00 PM at Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
