Earl Wayne Brown Sr, 73, of Shady Point, Oklahoma, passed away in his home on November 28, 2025. He was born on October 20, 1952, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to his parents Thomas and Mildred (Humphries) Brown. Wayne was a jack of all trades- from carpenter, heavy equipment, coal mines and a truck driver. There was nothing that Wayne couldn’t do. He was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Betty Brown, his brothers Tommy Brown, Lynn Brown and Ronnie Brown, and his sisters-in-laws, Joyce Brown and Jani Tolleson.
Wayne is survived by his significant other, Connie Keith of the home, his sons, Wayne Brown Jr and wife Brandi of Shady Point, Oklahoma, Jason Brown and wife Shelly of Shady Point, Oklahoma, Justin Brown and wife Farrah of Shady Point, Oklahoma, his daughter, Pokey Clary and husband Joey of Poteau, Oklahoma, his grandchildren, Andrew, Brett, Sadi J. Kobe, Braden, Gentry, Caleb, Brilee, Timmy and Teddy, the mother of his children, Pat Kitchens of Wister, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law, Betty Brown of Shady Point, Oklahoma, along with many other cousins, relatives and friends.
The Family of Wayne Brown Sr will greet friends at his viewing from 6pm – 8pm on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma.
The Celebration of Life Memorial Services for Wayne will be held 6pm – Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave, Poteau, Oklahoma 74953 with TJ Holt officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael Brown, Thomas Brown, Daniel Taylor, Jason Brown, Wayne Brown Jr, Justin Brown and Joey Clary
