Ester Lee Rogers Clayton was born on March 6, 1930 in Fort Coffee, Oklahoma to Her loving parents, Jennie Brown Rogers and Elzie Rogers, to this union two children were born; Ester Lee and Elzaree.

Ester attended school in Fort Coffee, Oklahoma. She joined Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in 1944, as a servant of God. She has served several organization on her faithful journey throughout her life. She had the pleasure of residing as president of the Mt. Triumph Baptist Church Senior Choir for 18 years and served five years as a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Heavenly Bound Travelers who sang praises of God throughout the area for over 50 years. She also has been a part of the Volunteer Ombudsman Program since 1976, where she would go sing to the residents in nursing homes.

She was pleased to serve with Mattie Alexander in Central Wayland District, and worked with the Starlight Band besides Mrs. Henrietta Steele and Mrs. Elsie Brown. She served as assistant president to Mr. Park Harlan in the Eastern Oklahoma musical. Ester worked at Riverside Furniture for over 25 years and loved working in her gardens.

Ester went home to be with the Lord on September 26, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children, Shirley Cummings, Ocie Clayton, Catherine Cuble-Clayton, Freddie Cuble, Jr., Rochelle Blocker, Brenda Clayton Rowe, Michelle Martin, Stewart Blocker, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jennie and Elzie Rogers; son, Curtis Wayne Lee; sisters, Malindy Scott, Elzaree Rogers Jordan, Gussie Brown,; brother, Alvin Smith; grandparents, Elsie Brown and William (Bill) Brown.

Ester will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Home going celebration will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Victory Worship Center in Spiro, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Fort Coffee Cemetery in Fort Coffee, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma. Viewing will be Friday, October 8, 2021 from 12; 00pm – 7:00pm at the funeral home.
