Glenn Edward Holcomb of Tulsa, Oklahoma (formerly of Heavener, Oklahoma) was born May 20, 1923 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Elijah Glenn and Fannie G. (Presley) Holcomb and passed away June 5, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 95.

 

He is survived by:

One son:
Kerry Edward Holcomb and wife Maryella

Three grandchildren:
Kenneth Edward Holcomb and wife Melissa
Shelby Lee Robertson and husband Brian
Shannon Amy Day and husband Rob

Four great-grandchildren:
Nathaniel Day, Wyatt Glenn Holcomb, Jace Robertson, and Benjamin Robertson

Other family members:
Regina Mills
Terry Don Holcomb

Numerous loved ones and a host of friends

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma Lee Holcomb; one sister, Mildred Herbert; and two brothers, Howard Charles and Donald Ray “Sody” Holcomb.

 

Glen was a long-time resident of the area.

 

He was a retired plumber and farmer. Glen was a veteran in the World War II era, where he served his country in the United States Army Air Corp.

 

He enjoyed gardening, beekeeping, and spending time with his family.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma with his family officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park in Heavener, Oklahoma under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ken Holcomb, Rob Day, and Brian Robertson.

 

Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday.
