Funeral Service for Glenna Hinton, 98 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 2:00p m on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Evans and Miller Chapel in Poteau, OK with Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bokoshe Cemetery in Bokoshe, OK under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
She was born on June 23, 1925 in Short Mountain, OK to Evie (Jones) Vineyard and Claude Johnson and passed away on August 13, 2023 in Heavener, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Hinton, Son Gary Hinton, Parents Louie and Evie Vineyard and Biological father Claude Johnson, Brothers Johnny, Frank, Merle, and Charles Vineyard, Sisters Mamie Brock, Mildred Kennedy, Carol Kuykendall, and Faye Brooks, and Son-in-law Joe Horton.
Survivors include Daughters Sharon Horton of Rogers, AR, Susie McGehee and Husband Phil of Poteau, OK, Cheryl Hughes and Husband Barry of Poteau, OK; sisters Joye Anderson, Kay Bennett both of Spiro, OK, and Patsy Stout of Broken Arrow, OK; Brother Roy Vineyard of Panama, OK; 14 Grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, other family, loved ones and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chris Horton, Kendal Horton, Michael Hughes, David Hinton, Jason Hinton, and Barry Hughes.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
