Graveside Service for Harrell Franklin Followell, 90 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 2:00PM on Friday, March 10, 2023 at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma with Jim Cook officiating. Services under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Harrell was born on July 14, 1932 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Dennie (Farmer) Followell and Clyde Followell and passed away on March 6, 2023 in Poteau, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Wendell Followell. Harrell graduated from Poteau High School in 1950, and attended OU college of law in 1959. Harrell served as the D.A. of Leflore and Latimer County from 1967-1971. He was Associate Judge of Poteau, Oklahoma from 1975-1979, and Associate Judge of Coal County, Oklahoma from 1997-1991. Harrell was a member of the Lions Club, and The Oklahoma Bar Association from 1959-2023.
Survivors include his niece, Judy Ozakan; sister-in-law, Gertnde Followell; cousin, Carroll Lindeburge and husband Ken, Judy Kitchenmizer and husband Dale, Sherry Morgan and husband Eddie.
