Funeral Service for Hilton Kannady, 93 of Pocola, Oklahoma will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Pocola Heights Free Will Baptist Church in Pocola, Oklahoma with Mister Gaylon Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola, Oklahoma.
Hilton was born on October 13, 1930 in Pocola, Oklahoma to Myrtle (Clay) Kannady and Cecil Kannady and passed away on October 14, 2023 in Pocola, Oklahoma. He was married to Leona (Swink) Kannady. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Duana Kannady; grandson, Christopher Caldwell; great granddaughter, Lilliam Wallace; sisters, Dovie Jenkins, and Joyce Harris. Hilton owned M&K Construction and was formerly a Police Officer in Pocola. Hilton was a civil defense director and member of Pocola Heights Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Leona Kannady; daughters, Connie Kannady and Tom Goodwin, Cecilia Bennett, Darlene Hesson and Bobby Hesson; son, Maxwell Kannady; brothers, Elton Kannady and Annie, Allen Kannady and Gayle; fifteen grandchildren, thirty seven great grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Kannady, Sheldon Kannady, Justin Kannady, Derrick Kannady, Dylan Kannady, and Mark Harris.
Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday 1pm – 8pm and Wednesday 9am – 12 pm at the funeral home.
