J.D. Parker of Heavener, Oklahoma was born on January 31, 1932 in the Glendale Community to Ollie and Orene (Queen) Parker and passed away March 29, 2019 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 87.

 

He is survived by:

Gloria Williams of Zoe, Oklahoma

Three sisters-in-law:
Kathleen Webb of the Glendale Community
Wanda Lundy of Kearney, Arizona
Carol Wolf of Oklahoma

Three brothers-in-law:
Theodore Mathews
James Applegate
Charles Williams

Three grandchildren:
Michael Braun, Jason Dinges, and Jamie Dinges

Four great-grandchildren:
Noah Coulson, Brenden Coulson, Nicolas Dinges, and Jonathan Dinges

Numerous nieces, nephews, loved ones and a host of many friends

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Orene Parker; one daughter: Vicki Letcher; one granddaughter: Kerry Braun; four brothers, John “Jack”, Ollie “Jr.”, Arvine “Tobe”, and Bobby Parker; and one sister: Lavonne Reeves.

 

J.D. was a Maintenance worker for the Maricopa County in Arizona until retirement, and a truck driver for ETMF Truck Lines and Websters Dairy. He was a member of Stapp Zoe Baptist Church and a member of the Teamsters. J.D. was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served his country during the Korean Conflict.

 

He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandpa, great-grandpa, uncle, cousin, and friend. J.D. will be dearly missed by many whom loved and knew him.

 

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Sam Dyer officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Hontubby Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

 

Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. until noon, Wednesday at the funeral home.

 

The family will have visitation with friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
