Janna was born on January 12, 1964, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to parents Leonard and Janice A Holton Greene. Janna was a lifelong resident of Poteau, grew up here, and also raised her family here. She worked 42 years for the Community Sate Bank and well as serving on LeFlore County Youth Services Board and helping on many community events over the years. Janna had a servant’s heart and loved her family and serving people. Her favorite hobby was spending time with her grandchildren and her family. At the age of 10 years old, she began attending Southside Baptist Church and singing in the choir. Janna is preceded in death by her father Leonard Ray Greene.
Janna is survived by her husband of 41 years Mark Edward Owens of the home, her daughter Ariel Janea Bell and husband Josh of Poteau, Oklahoma, her grandchildren Cole Bell, Lexi Garrett, Chance Morris, Corbin Morris, and Caston Morris, her mother Janice Ann (Holton) Greene of Poteau, Oklahoma, her sister Amanda Evans and husband Sean of Meridian, Idaho, and her nieces Shelby Evans and Sydney Evans, along with many other loved ones and many friends.
The Celebration of Life Services for Janna will be held 10am – Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Southside Baptist Church 505 Holson Ave Poteau, Oklahoma with Pastor Jim Reed and Pastor Bentley Hill officiating the service. The Family of Janna Owens will meet and greet friends at the conclusion of the service. Honorary urn bearers will be Larry Spradley, Steve Akers, Zac Jewell, Jerry Lee Holton, Steve Turman, Joey Potts, and Kenneth “Rowdy” Self.
