Graveside Service for Jerry Snook, 73 of Shady Point, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Shady Point Cemetery in Shady Point, Oklahoma with Jim Cook officiating. Services are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Jerry Snook was born on April 13, 1950 in Dumas,Texas to Lorene (Samples) Snook and Otto Jerry Snook and passed away on August 28, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Donna Snook on June 10, 1972 in Dumas, Texas. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ernest Snook; and sister, Audry Kathleen Gragert. Jerry grew up with his brother and two sisters. Jerry and Donna were married for 51 years, having known each other much longer since they grew up together. He went into the military at the age of 17 and served two tours in Vietnam. While in the military he lived in Germany, Kansas, and Korea. After serving 21 years in the US Army he retired with his wife and two children to Shady Point, Oklahoma. Not one to be idle he went into private security for 20 years. He enjoyed his small farm, his kids, and grandkids. He gave all he met a pocket knife as this was his joy

Survivors include his spouse; Donna Snook; daughter, Kelli Cole and husband Matt Cole of Pocola, Oklahoma; son, Thomas Snook of Shady Point, Oklahoma; sister, Sheila York and husband Ed York of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Brittney Wood and husband Kyle Wood of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Braden Cole of Pocola, Oklahoma; numerous other relatives and loved ones.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Braden Cole, Tony Dwight, Cliff Armstrong, Lt. Colonel Cameron Lowry, Paden Lowry, Dillon Lowry, Jacob Brecheen, Chantry Brecheen, and Jason York.
