Joe Harold Cox of Cameron, Oklahoma was born July 12, 1946 in Pocola, Oklahoma to Robert and Mary Frances (Bowden) Cox and passed away May 4, 2021 in Cameron, Oklahoma at the age of 74.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Sharon McEnturff and husband Robert, Sandy Pendergrass, Karen Fletcher; sons, Rocky Cox, Shawn Cox and wife Robyn, Shane Cox and wife Angela; eighteen grandchildren, James David Chitwood, Jacob Cox, Kinley Cox, Tyler Cox and wife Kalli, Taylor Cox and wife Stephanie, Jodie Allen Watkins, A. J. Thompson and wife Keelie, Breanna Thompson, Skeeter McEnturff, Wade Cox, Makayla Cox, Ashley Cox, Brayden Cox, Parker Cox, Megan Fullen, Austyn Cox, Addyson Cox, Jaxyn Cox; ten great grandchildren, Weston, Sierra, Savannah, James, Ryker, Graci, Kinzley, Kylinn; sisters, Linda Wilson, Anna Church, Edna Butner, Debbie Stewart; a brother, David Cox, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Cox of 55 years, they were married on April 23, 1966; his parents Robert and Mary Frances Cox; sister, Betty Jo (Cookie) Rainwater; brother Robert (Bobby) Cox; son-in-law, Donny Pendergrass; granddaughter, Emily Cox; and nephews Dwayne Church and Jefferson Wilson.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Monday, May 10, 2021 at Grace Memorial Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma. Viewing will be Saturday from 9:00 am – 7:00pm, with the family greeting friends Saturday from 5:00pm- 7:00pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be; A.J. Thompson, Tyler Cox, Taylor Cox, Austyn Cox, Jodie Allen, and Tom Upchurch. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Wade Cox, James David, James Cox, Jaxyn Cox, Timmy Church, Toby Wilson, and Mikey Wilson
