John Patrick McKenzie, 48, of Spiro, Oklahoma, passed away on March 2, 2025, in Spiro, Oklahoma.
Born on February 25, 1977, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to Gatha Joyce (Corley) Kelley and John Robert Binge, John—affectionately known as Pat—was a kind and loving soul who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He had a passion for planting flowers, singing, and spending time with his friends. He loved making crafts and cherished taking his niece, McKenzie, shopping and swimming. McKenzie was his baby, his best friend, and their bond was unbreakable. More than anything, Pat loved being surrounded by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Connie Corley; grandfather, Bethel Corley; and numerous aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joyce and James Kelley; sister, Lisa Holbrook and husband Robert; brother, Kevin Lippold and wife Shirley Cox; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and cherished friends. He loved his beloved dog, Yoda and treated him like he was his baby.
A viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
