Johnny Lee Frizzell of Heavener, Oklahoma was born August 12, 1942 in Waldron, Arkansas to L.G. and Dorothy Mae (Cooper) Frizzell and passed away March 6, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 76.

Six grandchildren:
Ashley Frizzell, Cheyann Kelly and husband Kip, Chanse Frizzell, Taylor Frizzell, Stance Frizzell, and Brody Frizzell
Two step-grandchildren:
Chelsi White and Lindsi Bradley
Five great-grandchildren:
Kaden, Koldyn, Kaleb, Layton, and Betsy

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Paul Frazer and Glen Douglas “Glenny” Frizzell. Johnny was a life-long resident of the area, a member of the Perry Chapel Baptist Church, a retired logger, and a member of the PRCA. Back in his younger days, Johnny rode bulls and broncs.
He also was a stock contractor and had a rodeo school where he enjoyed teaching young cowboys how to ride.
Johnny enjoyed cutting wood and loved spending time with his family. Later in life, he enjoyed taking care of his many cats and reminiscing about his rodeo days. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era where he served in the United States Army. Johnny had many friends and will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma with Mr. Denton Mead officiating.
Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park with military rights provided by the DAV and arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Chanse Frizzell, Stance Frizzell, Justin Frizzell, Kip Kelly, Roy Culley, and Gary Mead
Viewing will be from noon until 8:00 p.m., Thursday and 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
The family will have a visitation with friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
