Kathryn was born into a large family full of orneriness; she was feisty and stubborn and loved to pester like all the rest of her Ary clan. Throughout her life, she worked at many things. She raised chickens, was a cosmetologist, helped her husband build and operate a radio station, and was a world-class grandma. She was an amazing cook, making legendary biscuits and gravy, chicken and dumplings, and fried pies among many other things. She loved playing cards, listening to her son-in-law pick and sing, watching old TV shows and westerns, trips to Laughlin, baby-sitting, snickers/chocolate donuts… and she ALWAYS had a cup of Folgers coffee in her hand. Above all, she treasured time spent with family. And Family didn’t just mean blood relation, she glommed onto everyone. Her extended family never stopped growing, and she was well loved by us all. She is irreplaceable.
Very special thanks to family and friends who helped take such good care of her, allowing us to keep her at home until the end.
