Linda Fay Qualls, 73, of Wister, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Pueblo Colorado. Linda was born March 9, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Hoyt and Betty Jo Armstrong.
She married her high school sweetheart; Joe D. Qualls and was married 54 years. Linda enjoyed maintaining the family ranch, riding tractors, baling hay and working cattle. She also enjoyed fishing in her favorite fishing hole, cooking chocolate cake made from scratch, and making Wister’s finest strawberry jelly.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Hoyt and Betty Jo (Baughman) Armstrong, a brother Sherman ‘Bo’ Armstrong.
Linda is survived by her husband Joe Derrell; her son, Joe Allen Qualls, her daughter, Tammy and Ron Davidson; her grandchildren, Ashley Qualls, Rebekkah Qualls, and Addison Qualls. She is also survived by her sibling’s, Sharon ‘Sue’ Armstrong, David and Rhonda Armstrong, and Tina and Lee Seth; plus her many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
“We all know how much Linda loved hummingbirds, so all who wish to honor her life are invited to hang a hummingbird feeder at their home.”
Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk side by side through life, but when I needed you most, I saw only one set of footprints in the sand. “Lord replied, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you.
