Mary Belle Cox of Spiro, Oklahoma was born March 27, 1930 in Williams, Oklahoma to Frank and Pearl (Norton) Manning.
She married the love of her life, Bennie Cox on September 5, 1948, and they were married for 59 years.
Mary Bell was reunited with Bennie when she passed away February 18, 2019 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 88.
She is survived by one daughter Jan Sebo and husband Don, three sons, Mark Cox and wife Vicki, Greg Cox and wife Sarah, and Sherman Cox and wife Beck, 10 grandchildren, Mark Cox, Jr. and wife Amy, Justin Sebo and wife Rachelle, Ki Upchurch and husband Danny, Carla Odom and husband Jeff, Kara Craft and husband Clint, Amanda Magruder and husband Matt, Bryant Cox and wife Jordan, Greg Cox, Jr. and wife Erica, Dustin Cox, and Logan Cox, 14 great-grandchildren, Kaylee Lockwood and husband Quint, Aubryelle Sebo, Bailey Cox, Madelyn Sebo, Hallie Harper, Jaycee Cox, Shayleigh Odom, Peyton Upchurch, Bryten Sebo, Kaylyn Upchurch, Jake Odom, Cason Craft, Lucas Magruder, and Warren Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Pearl, her husband Bennie Cox, two sisters, seven brothers, and two infant sons. Mary Belle was a member of the Spiro First Baptist Church and the Ladies VFW Auxiliary.
She worked for the City of Spiro as the City Clerk for many years which she retired from.
She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, play UNO, and work in her flowerbeds.
Mary Bell loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, she thought Blue Bell ice cream qualified as a breakfast food for the grandkids because it had milk and eggs in it.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Friday, February 22nd at the Spiro First Baptist Church with Reverends James Smith and Bryan Fouts officiating.
Burial will follow in the Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be Tom Tobler, Acie Joe Conrad, Johnny Redwine, Tom Swafford Glen Craft, and J.R. Jones.
Viewing hours will be 9am-8pm Thursday with the family and friends visitation being held from 6pm-8pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
