Funeral Service for Mary Welker, 87 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 11:00am on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Unite Church in Spiro,OK with Reverend Gene Hewitt officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home. Viewing will be 1pm-6pm Sunday with the family visiting with friends 4pm-6pm at the funeral home.
Mary was born on October 30, 1935 in Pocola, Oklahoma to Esta Alice (Gregory) and Andy Pipkins and passed away on June 1, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Winford Welker on August 5, 1950 in Spiro, Oklahoma. Preceding her in death are her parents, Andy and Esta Pipkins; sister, Linda Pipkins; and brothers, Gary Pipkins and Tom Pipkins. Mary was a member of Unite Church in Spiro, enjoyed sewing, gardening, and loved her family.
Mary is survived by her husband, Winford; daughter, Connie Hancock and husband Larry; son, Dewayne Welker and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Allison Blankenship and husband Justin, Matthew Welker and wife Mikka, Shauna Himes and husband Heath, and Bradley Hancock and wife Kelsey, Ky Asher; great grandchildren, Hunter, Brayle, Laurel, Winston, Heaton, Hattie, Heston, and Hudson; sisters, Melba Large and husband Gary, brothers, Dave Pipkins, Aaron Pipkins, Dan Pipkins and wife Shirley, Kenny Pipkins and wife Karen, and Gerald Pipkins and wife Nancy; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
