Matthew Brandon “Matt” Spradley, 46, of Delray Beach, Florida, was born on January 5, 1979, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was the beloved firstborn son of Phyllis J. (Phillips) and Larry Spradley. Matt went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 3, 2025, in his home in Delray Beach.
Matt was lovingly welcomed into eternity by his sister, Emily Spradley; grandparents Guy and Doris Spradley, Dan and Johnnie Phillips Reed; and Floyd Phillips.
A proud 1997 graduate of Poteau High School, Matt later attended Carl Albert State College and the University of Arkansas. He poured his energy and enthusiasm into everything he did—from his work with Razorback Electric in Delray Beach to his unwavering loyalty to the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was especially proud of his time as a cheerleader for the Lady Razorback Basketball Team.
Matt will always be remembered for his enormous servant’s heart. He lived with compassion, purpose, and a deep desire to lift others up. Whether he was leading Bible studies, encouraging friends in recovery, or sharing heartfelt messages of faith and hope, Matt ministered to people in a way that left a lasting imprint on their lives. His friendships stretched across so many circles, and he carried each one with care.
Matt is survived by his parents, Larry and Phyllis (PJ) Spradley; his brothers, Andrew and David Spradley; his nephew, Benjamin; and his niece,  Emelia. Matt was grateful for the many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him so much.
He is also survived by his dear friends Julia Laine Baez and Derek Lewis, who held a special place in his life. He was also grateful for Seekers Outreach Ministry and the members of Cason United Methodist Church in Delray Beach, whom he considered family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Kane Riggs, Derek Lewis, and Jeff Jenson speaking. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
