Mitchell James May, 60, of Atoka, Oklahoma (formerly of Heavener, Oklahoma) was born on July 19, 1962 to Maureen (Brown) and Elvis Junior May in Poteau, Oklahoma. He passed away July 1, 2023 peacefully at his home in Atoka with his brothers, Don and Terry by his side.

Larry and Connie May of Heavener, Oklahoma
Don May of Atoka, Oklahoma
Terry May of Atoka, Oklahoma
One sister:
Carol Azlin of Clute, Texas
Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other loved ones, and a host of many friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maureen and Elvis Junior May.
Mitchell attended Hodgen and Heavener Public Schools. He was a logger. Mitchell enjoyed playing pool, singing karaoke, and traveling. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Mitchell will be deeply missed.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2023 at Big Creek Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Reverend Phillip Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Page Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Willard Robbins, Cody May, Tim Azlin, Levi Morrison, and Ethan May.
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., Thursday and 9:00 a.m. until Noon, Friday at the funeral home.
