Nancy June Bernard, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, in Rogers, Arkansas, at the age of 80. Surrounded by the love of her family, she concluded a life rich with love, dedication, and cherished memories.

Born on May 13, 1944, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Aileen “Rose” and Chester Wright, Nancy embodied warmth, kindness, and an entrepreneurial spirit. She and her beloved husband, Myron David Bernard, built a beautiful life together, both personally and professionally, as the owners of Bernard’s New Image. Their enduring partnership was a testament to love, hard work, and unwavering commitment.
Nancy’s greatest joy was her family. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 62 years, David Bernard; her children, Rebecca (Becky) Fields and husband Bill, and David (Buba) Bernard and wife Danette; her grandchildren, Amber Smith and husband Matthew, Dillon Fields and wife Kacie, Taira Garrett and husband Grant, Tyler Bernard and wife Ashlyn, Dexter Bernard, Maddison Bernard, Payton Bernard, and Jenni Cauthen and husband Dale; and fourteen beloved great-grandchildren, with one more soon to arrive. The light and laughter they brought into her life were immeasurable. Nancy is also survived by her brother-in-law, Cecil Bernard and his wife Kathey, and her sister-in law, Cathy Barrett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Chester Wright, and her beloved son, Anthony (Tony) Bernard. Though his loss was profound, Nancy’s strength and boundless love for her family never wavered. Nancy was also preceded in death by her brother and his wife, Tommy and Joy Wright.
Beyond her business acumen, Nancy had a gentle and generous heart. She found peace in nature, joy in fishing, and comfort in the simple pleasures of life. Her love, wisdom, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.
