Nina retired from Hamlins Garment Factory after many years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Poteau, Oklahoma, and also attended First Baptist Church in Monroe, Oklahoma. Nina was well known for her homemade biscuits, a treasured treat enjoyed by family and friends. She dearly loved her nieces and nephews and had a special compassion for animals, often taking in and caring for animals that needed a home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Velma ( Harrison) Mosley and John Wiley Mosley; her beloved husband, Felix Levon Cauthen; brothers, Darrell, Gerald, and Jervin Mosley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, Ouido Ballard of North Carolina and Wilma Mosley of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
She leaves behind a loving family and many cherished friends. Survivors include her sisters, Patricia “Pat” Knowles of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Joyce Scott of Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many beloved friends whose lives she touched throughout the years.
Pallbearers will be James Mosley, Jesse Mosley, Russell Mosley, Jeffery Mosley, Todd Mosley, and Jimmy Wayne Kendall.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Ballard and Christine Ballard.
Viewing and visitation will be held Monday, June 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
Graveside service for Nina (Mosley) Cauthen, 96, of Monroe, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Monroe Cemetery in Monroe, Oklahoma, with Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
