Funeral Service for Nora “Jean” Curd, 78 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at New Beginning Family Ministry in Poteau, Oklahoma with Pastor Don Martin officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
She was born on April 20, 1942 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Catherine (Asher) Davis and Oscar Mason Davis and passed away on February 9, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Robert Lee Roy Curd on August 3, 1961 in Arkansas. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sons, Joseph Curd and Bob Curd; a grandson Kasey Lee Wilson; her parents, Oscar and Catherine Davis and three sisters. She was a member of New Beginning Family Ministry Church. Jean loved God, family, her books, and crocheting.
Survivors include her sons, Tim Curd and wife Mary, Fred Curd and wife Realisha; daughter, Patty Underwood and husband Joey; daughter-in-law, Laurie Curd; sister, Lura O’Neal; best friend, Shirley Morris; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren with one on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Reeves, Joseph Underwood, Ethan Tuttle, Jordan Fortney, Robert Tuttle, Alex Curd and Matthew Curd. Honorary Pallbearers will be Trever Peterson, Fred Curd and Tim Curd.
Viewing will be Monday, February 15 2021 from 12pm – 7pm with the family greeting friends from 5pm – 7pm at the funeral home.
