Patricia Ann Harrison, 91, of Hooks, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, surrounded by love and the gentle comfort of a life well-lived. Born on November 10, 1933, in Norman, Oklahoma, to Bessie (Daniels) Boyd and Andrew L. Boyd, Patricia was a woman of quiet strength, warm spirit, and a heart open to the simple joys of life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Raymond Lee Harrison Sr.; her daughter, Ellen Maxine Harrison; and seven cherished siblings.
From a young age, Patricia found beauty in the world around her—whether in the soft petals of a flower, the melody of a well-loved hymn, or the laughter of children playing nearby. Her garden was her sanctuary, lovingly tended and filled with the flutter of wings and the rustle of leaves. There, surrounded by birds, squirrels, and blooms, she found daily peace and purpose.
Music was another lifelong companion. Patricia’s home was often filled with the gentle notes of her piano—each song a reflection of her tenderness and joy. She played not for praise, but because music, like love, was something she gave freely.
In her later years, Patricia embraced the digital age with curiosity and delight. Her iPad became a favorite tool for reading, messaging loved ones, and exploring the world in new ways. Whether sending heart-filled texts or sharing family photos, she stayed as present and connected as ever.
One of Patricia’s simple pleasures was her regular trips to Wal-Mart. To her, it wasn’t just shopping—it was an experience. A place where conversations were had, treasures were found, and comfort could be bought in the form of a warm cardigan or the perfect card for someone she loved.
Family was always at the center of Patricia’s world. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, never missing a birthday, recital, or celebration. Her unwavering presence and gentle encouragement shaped the lives of those around her. To her great-grandchildren, she was a source of unconditional love—and a faithful fan of every milestone.
Patricia was also a lover of the outdoors and a dedicated daily walker. Her steps were measured and meaningful, giving her time to reflect and appreciate the world around her. Whether walking, gardening, or simply gazing out the window with a warm cup of tea, Patricia moved through life with quiet intention and grace.
She is survived by her loving children: Ann Harrison and husband Jimi Murillo, Cheryl Welch and husband Glenn, and Raymond Harrison Jr. and Angie Perez mother of Trey and Ashley. Her grandchildren Jennifer Welch and spouse Jennifer Evans, Justin Welch and spouse Stephanie Welch, and Kirby Fowler and husband Zachary, and Raymond (Trey) Harrison III, and Ashley Harrison will forever cherish her memory. Patricia also leaves behind her adored great-grandchildren: Slyder Welch, Daxton Fowler, and Gavin Fowler. Her sisters Betty Warren, Joyce Ewing and husband Bob, and Linda Young and husband Rick; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, all hold her close in their hearts.
Graveside services for Patricia Ann Harrison will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery in Panama, Oklahoma, with Bryan Fouts officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
