Loving mother, devoted wife, friend and Christian woman, Patsy Hull was born on June 17, 1943 and passed from this life on March 14, 2021. Both of her parents, Kenneth and Faye Cloud, taught her the value of hard work and providing for your family.

Pat grew up in Flower Hill. She often joked about how when she would get out of school, her and her brother would cut through the watermelon patch by the Flower Hill Church and get a watermelon that was ripe. They would eat it on the spot. Pat grew up cooking dinner most nights for her parents and brother. Her father was a coal miner, and her mother worked in the cannery in Fort Smith. But she was also a normal teenage girl who liked to sit out in her daddy’s old 56 Ford car and listen to Elvis. She would come home from school and listen to KVOO out of Tulsa. She also prided herself and told her grandkids how in junior high, she would always win the Leflore County academic meets in the various subjects.

Pat met her husband Cordell Hull on the Spiro School bus their freshman year of high school. Pat and Cordell dated throughout high school both competing in the athletic programs at Spiro. They received their associates from Eastern. After graduation they got married, and both transferred to Northeastern State University where she obtained her college degree in education. She was very proud of her college degree and rightfully so. Her first teaching job was at Adair, Oklahoma.

After their first year, Pat and Cordell came back home to Tucker to raise their family. She was a devoted wife and mother. Pat always supplied everything that her husband and her children needed. She made countless trips alongside her husband to the Tucker bottoms. They worked as a team. They were able to build the house they live in now from one summer of working in the hay fields.

She also excelled at being a devoted coach’s wife. Her husband Cordell coached at numerous schools in the area, and she supported him. Pat attended every ball game whether it was her own children’s ball game or whether it was her husband coaching. Being a coach’s wife was a very hard job, but she always kept her mouth shut and her head up while supporting her family. Pat and Cordell have four children who were in various athletic sports and FFA roles. Whenever there was a cow show, football scrimmage or basketball game, she was always there. Pat Pat, as her grandchildren called her, continued supporting her grandchildren in the same way. Many of her grandchildren showed cattle, and she could always be found in the fall and spring at the Leflore County livestock show.

Being co-owner of Coach’s Lumber was also a highlight of her life. If one came through the lumber yard around noon time, she would usually try and feed you lunch! Pat firmly believed and exemplified that one will show love, if you cook!

Pat was also an avid gardener; she enjoyed providing for her family homegrown vegetables. Every summer she would can hundreds of jars of green beans, peas, and tomatoes. And even when she was sick, she still had her tomato patch and her onion patch that she would check on.

One of her favorite things to do was head off on a Friday morning going yard selling. She would always get excited about the bargains that she could find for her family and her grandchildren. Her favorite red pickup would always come back full of goodies to give away for her family. She also enjoyed going to lunch with a few friends from church. Pat would pick them up, and they would head out for an adventure of thrifting and lunch together. And I’m sure there was no talking about their husbands either.

When Pat was diagnosed with cancer it was a huge shock to her and her family. However, she chose to fight it bravely for three years. During the many ups and downs, she still kept her faith in the Lord and her longing for heaven; never once questioning God and His authority.

Pat will be fondly remembered by her husband of 57 years Cordell, son Chad and Liaanne, Chad’s children Chasey and Holiday, son Jody Hull, Jody’s children Savannah, Sierrah, Camryn and Cambrey, Ronn and Tammy Hull with their children Haleigh, Ronni, Kaleb and great grandson Jett, daughter Summer along with her husband Logan Cates and their children Southern, Tucker, Oakley, Noble, McHenry & Sunshine. Our family is very thankful that she was ready to go home, but we will be remiss not to say that we will think of her when we see a yard sale sign, remember an amazing Thanksgiving meal, or think of the special memories that we have all stored in our hearts to remember!

Funeral services for Patsy Hull will be 10:00am Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with private burial to follow in the Cowlington Cemetery. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cowlington Cemetery Association in honor of Mrs. Hull. Please mail to Cowlington Cemetery, 27751 Tucker Road, Spiro Oklahoma, 74959.
