Funeral Service for Paul Tankersley, 92 of Cameron, Oklahoma will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Evans Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Paul was born on August 31, 1931 in Pocola, Oklahoma to Jennie (Maple) Tankersley and Marvin Tankersley and passed away on December 23, 2023 in Cameron, Oklahoma. He was married to Joyce Kelso on September 21,1951 in Bonita, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce, seven brothers and two sisters; grandchildren, Liam Lyon, Jude Mapes and Emberley Madison.
Survivors include:
daughters, Susan Pickle and husband Dale, Nanci Dunn and husband Paul, Leona Loveless, and Rebecca Doyle; sons, Paul Tankersley and wife Lori, and Manny Cardoza; grandchildren, Christopher Tankersley and wife Tammy, Jennifer Morris and husband Tracy, Victoria Haynes and husband Keith, Zach Tankersley, Ashlee Pickle, Victoria Moore and husband Bill, Jamie Jarvis and husband Austin, Kyle Ward and wife Brittany, Whitney Lyon and husband Brody, Christina Massey and husband Ronnie, and Amanda Dunn; great grandchildren, Noralynn Pickle, Anna, Michael, and Rylee Hogue, William, Harper, and Bexley Moore, Lexe and Maci Pickle, Aliah Mapes, Jalen Ward, Zoie and Gage Graham, Wyatt, Tristyn, Isaiah, Kynzi and Ace Jarvis, Kylee, Isabella, Jakoby and Bristol Ward, Cheyanne and Zane Lyon, Kaitlyn Martinez, Ashlyn and Brooklyn Morris, Breydon Tankersley, Kaley Madison, Chance Hoover, Case, Cooper and Marleigh Howell, Asher, Luke and Zadyn Haynes, Sara and Tara Lanning, Evan and Eloise Massey; great great grandchildren, Raydin Ward, Wayne McCracken, Myles Martinez, Brinlee, Harper, and Mavrick Tankersley, new baby Emory, Oaklee and Carter Madison.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Tankersley, Kyle Ward, Zach Tankersley, Breydon Tankersley, Jalen Ward, Gage Graham, Keith Haynes and Tracy Morris.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Eli Mapes, Austin Jarvis, Anthony Freeman, Jarrett Cannon, Timmy Adams, and Dennis Morris.
Visitation will be Tuesday December 26, 2023 from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
