Paula Eunice Earls, 88, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on March 9, 1937, in Howe, Oklahoma, to Bessie M. (Pearson) Stewart and Orvis Doyle Stewart.
Paula was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Lee Earls; her parents, Bessie and Orvis Stewart; and her brothers, Donald Stewart and Jody Stewart.
Paula had a beautiful voice and loved to sing, bringing joy to those who heard her. When able, she also delighted in time with friends, always offering a warm heart and kind smile. Above all Paula cherished time spent with her family.
Paula is survived by her loving children: daughter Sherry Stacy and husband David; sons Terry Earls and wife Samantha, Gerald Earls and wife Sharon, Donnie Earls and wife Sharon, and Warren Earls. She leaves behind a legacy of 15 grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. Paula is also survived by her sisters, Linda McClellan and Gwenda France; brother Doyle Stewart; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
A funeral service honoring Paula’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Evans Memorial Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Jeff Dodd officiating. She will be laid to rest at Howe Cemetery in Howe, Oklahoma, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Sammy Sinclair, Justin Earls, Daniel Stacy, Isaac Stacy, Ryan O’Keene, and Chris Earls.
Honorary Pallbearers will be David Stacy, and Doyle Allen Stewart.
