Funeral Service for Phyllis Larraine Harris, 76 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Phyllis was born on October 16, 1946 in Paris, Arkansas to Freda Maxine (Smith) Clark and James Filmore Clark and passed away on September 16, 2023 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was married to John Harris on July 24, 1965 in Anaheim, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents. Phyllis loved singing gospel music, decorating her house and yard. She loved spending time with her family and her beloved pet, Charlie.
Survivors include her husband, John Harris; daughters, Shannon Spencer and husband Garrett; sons, Stephen Harris and wife Monica, Scott Harris and wife Hillary; sister, Andy Wise; brother, John Clark and wife Dani; grandchildren, Ashley Harris, Alexandra Fowler, Cameron Harris, Jackson Spencer, Jenna Spencer, William Harris; and James Harris; great grandchildren, Emily Sprague, Allison Sprague, Brock Harris, Brody Harris, and Dayvnii Fowler; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Wise, Mitch Clark, Stacy Thornbury, Joe Ward, Cameron Harris, and John Reed.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Brock Reather.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
