Robert Elton Hensley of Panama, Oklahoma was born March 7, 1942 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Dewey and Gladys (Hardin) Hensley, and passed away May 3, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 79.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Hensley and wife Cynthia, Dennis Hensley and wife Deborah; daughter, Roberta Maidic; grandchildren, Bailey Selser, Morgan Hensley, Autumn Hensley, Trevor Hensley; great granddaughter, Zaylee Hensley; sisters, Erma Dean Karther, Molly Pickering, Jo Welch, Doneva Fout, Betty Hensley; brothers, Jerry Hensley, Eugene Hensley, Clyde Hensley; his beloved dog, Hank, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Hensley and his sisters, Jewel Holt and Euel Bethell.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Friday, May 7, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Panama, Oklahoma with Reverend Dale Lowrimore officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Panama, Oklahoma under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma. Viewing will be Thursday May 6, 2021 from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm with the family greeting friends from 5:00pm- 7:00pm at the funeral home.
