Robert “Izzy” Oren Youker 55, of Talihina, Oklahoma, passed away on October 10, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1970, in Watonga, Oklahoma to Donald and Patsy (Flick) Youker. Robert had a bachelor’s degree in theology and taught at Subiaco Abbey for over 15 years. He also had a degree in nursing and worked as an LPN for over 25 years. Robert loved getting outside and doing yard work, he loved cats, loved reading, was an amazing singer, he loved traveling all over the world where he spent time in Ireland and he collected glass ornaments. He had a servant’s heart and was always a gift giver, however Robert loved the opportunity to pull a good prank over on someone. Robert was a man of faith and a member of the Catholic church. He lived a full, rich life and will be missed by all.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Donald Youker and Patsy Flick Youker.

Robert is survived by Shelly I Youker Hanna and husband Vern of Muldrow, Oklahoma. Nephews, Michael Deel and Justen Hughes of Talihina, Oklahoma and Dalton Geren of Muldrow, Oklahoma. Nieces, Leah Davis and husband Shawn of Alma, Arkansas and Bethany Geren and husband Shelby of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Seven great nieces and nephews, Hezekiah, Madlyn, Xavier, Brandon, Warrick, Freya and Hunter and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and spiritual brothers.

The Celebration of Life Services for Robert will be held at 1pm – Thursday, October 16, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma with Pastor Jimmy Hunt officiating. The Family of Robert “Izzy” Youker will greet friends from 5pm – 7pm on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, also at The Cedars on Dewey. Casket bearers will be Michael Deal, Justin Hughes, Shawn Davis, Shelby Robinson, Dalton Geren and Vern Hanna.
