Russell was born on August 17, 1957, in Bakersfield, California, to Wynona (Beeler) and Roy Woodall. He passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, in Roland, Oklahoma. On September 20, 2014, he married the love of his life, Velma Woodall, in Gans, Oklahoma.
Russell was a man of strong faith, a devoted servant of the Lord, and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed simple pleasures — watching Westerns (especially Gunsmoke), fishing, swimming, and spending time cruising with Velma. He also had a passion for making homemade beef jerky, which he loved to share with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Latasha Elliott, and his brother Roger Woodall.
Russell is survived by his wife, Velma Woodall; his son, Treint Woodall; his daughters, Shanea Reed (Colton Reed), Lakesha Parkerson (CodyParkerson), Stephanie Goad (Rob Chronister), and Tarah Vest; grandchildren, Noah Reed, Bryson Reed, Makenzy Irvin, Rynlee Parkerson, and Tylor Griffin (Kaley Harrower), Conner Griffin; and great-grandchildren, FinLee Harrower and Asher Griffin. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Dawson (Janis Dawson), along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many cherished friends.
Pallbearers will be Treint Woodall, Danny Brewer, Jimmy Brewer, Ronnie Mackey, Prentiss Peters, and Rob Chronister.
Russell’s kind heart, unwavering faith, and love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
