Sandra Kay Lum, 61, passed away on June 16, 2025, at her home with her family by her side. Sandra was born on June 25, 1963, in Poteau, Oklahoma to parents Jimmie and Anita Louise (Walls) Estes. Sandra worked and dedicated over 30 years to Poteau School systems and was the current LPC Counselor at Poteau High School. She left a lasting impression and life legacy on all the generations of children she impacted over the years. She was an advocate for disadvantaged youth and would pursue any avenue to help them. Sandra was an active member of Cross Community Church in Poteau, Oklahoma. When Sandra wasn’t working, she could be found hosting family get togethers, that always displayed the latest Pioneer Woman place settings. She loved to read and in her later years took up sewing. She was very family oriented, whether it was spending time with them or following her grandchildren to a new event, she was fulfilled with every second she got to spend with them. Sandra was loved by all that knew her and will be dearly missed.

Sandra was preceded in death by her father Jim Estes.

Sandra is survived by her husband Ronny of the home, her sons Jeff Lum and wife Ashley of Cameron, Oklahoma, Jerod Lum and wife Jodi of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Justin Lum and wife Sarah of Tulsa, Oklahoma, her 7 grandchildren Gracyn, Lylah, Wyatt, Jenson, Jackson, Merritt, and Nora, her mother Anita Estes of Cameron, Oklahoma, her sisters Teresa Ellis and husband Tracy of Bixby, Oklahoma and Kathy Martin and husband Scott of Cameron, Oklahoma, along with many other relatives and loved ones.

The Celebration of Life Services for Sandra will be held 10am – Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Poteau High School in the BLK Civic Center 101 Pirate Lane Poteau, Oklahoma with Pastor Scott Martin and Pastor Tracy Ellis officiating and burial to follow in the Estes plots at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma. The Family of Sandra Lum will greet friends from 5pm – 7pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Jeff Lum, Jerod Lum, Justin Lum, Colby Martin, Clay Martin, Alayna Benefield, and Kelsi Sellars.
