Sara Renee Sumpter, 41, passed away on June 12, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by her family. Sara was born on September 24, 1983, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to parents Roger and Stephanie (Fountain) Prescott. Sara was raised in Cameron, Oklahoma where she attended school and graduated from Cameron High School. After high school, she had her first born, Tami Jo. Shortly after Tami was born, she attended KTC and became an LPN nurse. Sara loved taking care of her patients and making sure they felt loved and cared for. Outside of her profession, she was a very good painter. She always loved painting or any other kind of craft. In more recent years, she picked up journaling and in that she found comfort. She also found peace in her garden and had a green thumb for making anything grow. Sara also loved animals, and her dogs Ellie and Milo were her soul dogs. She always said that if she was wealthy, she would own and operate a dog sanctuary. Above all, she loved her children, family, and animals deeply.
Sara is survived by her husband Luke Clary of Talihina, Oklahoma, her daughter Tami Ward and husband Weston of Lane, Oklahoma, her son Tyler Sumpter and girlfriend Natalie Dixon of Howe, Oklahoma, her parents Roger and Stephanie Prescott of Cameron, Oklahoma, her sisters Melissa Whitecotton of Cameron, Oklahoma and Dena Ogle of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her brother Rodney Prescott, her nieces and nephews Anthony Whitecotton, Lexee Ogle, Hailey Whitecotton, and Carolina Prescott, and her great nieces Avery Whitecotton and Addie Whitecotton, along with many other relatives and loved ones.
The Celebration of Life Services for Sara will be held at a later date.
