Sherry Jo Knight, 83, passed away on August 29, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Sherry was born on March 2, 1943, in Poteau, Oklahoma to parents Morris and Ruby (Mills) Qualls. Many of us knew Sherry Jo for her over 40 years as a Beautician, many knew her from her over 30 years and a member of Poteau First Assembly of God, or her over 20 years serving as the Sunday School Secretary, but no matter where you knew her from, she always greeted you with a smile and love. She loved God, she loved her family, and she loved her church family. Sherry Jo spent many years serving the local people of our community in one aspect or another, but today, even though we are sad, we rejoice in the works she has done. “She has finished her course, she has kept the faith! Laid up for her is her crown of righteousness.” So today, as we mourn her loss, we also look forward to the day we will see her again. Sherry Jo was an amazing woman and will be missed by all.
