Funeral Service for Sue Shakingbush will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with Reverend Larry Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Cowlington Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma
Carol Sue Shakingbush was born on October 26, 1938 in Cowlington, Oklahoma to Sherman and Lucille (Turner) Martindale and passed away on March 22, 2023 in Cowlington, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Kenneth Shakingbush; and brother, Sherman “Sonny” Martindale, Jr. Sue loved reading the bible, working puzzles, playing dominos (and cheating) with her grandchildren.
Survivors include daughter, Ruby Jean Blankenship and husband Curt, son Kenny Shakingbush and wife Sharon; grandchildren, Eugene Blankenship and wife Stacy, Dana Blankenship-Burch and husband Stacy, Candace Irons, and Kenny Lee Shakingbush and wife Rainy; great grandchildren, Addyson, Dawson, Colton, Gideon, Taylor, and River; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Shakingbush, Curt Blankenship, Eddie Blankenship, Stacy Burch, Bobby Hammontree, Mike Harrison, Eugene Blankenship, and Kenny Lee Shakingbush. Viewing will be Monday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm at the funeral home with the family visiting with friends 5:00pm-7:00pm.
