Teresa Sue Smith, lovingly known as “T”, age 65, of Wister, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully

at her home on June 18, 2025. Born on January 3, 1960, Teresa was known for her boundless

energy, generous heart, and deep love for children and family.

Teresa was a vibrant soul who lived life fully and gave selflessly. Her warmth and compassion

touched everyone who knew her. She had a special place in her heart for children and was always

the first to lend a hand or offer encouragement. Her joyful presence and spirited nature brought

light to every room.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Jagan Glover, and son-in-law, Clay Glover; her devoted

mother, LaQuita Byrd; and her cherished sisters, Rhonda Couch and Anita Byrd. Teresa was a

proud and adoring grandmother to Kinzy Glover, Kannon Glover, Kaston & “Pudge” Glover, OC

Glover, and Brady Glover, her niece Amanda Delt and husband Greg Delt; and great-nieces

Raelyn Delt and Kadynce Delt.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Craig Smith, her father, Ray Byrd and son

Hank Smith.

The Celebration of Life Services for Teresa will be held 2PM – Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the Wister Public

School Cafeteria in Wister, Oklahoma with John Paul McAlester officiating and burial to follow at Maxey Cemetery.

The Family of Teresa Smith will greet friends from 5pm – 7pm on Friday, June 20, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey

520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be Cliff Ryburn, Rocky Crane, Rick Crane, Tim Cooper, David Kellogg, and Rusty White. Honorary Casket bearers will be Steve Walden, Don McMillin, and Cliff Kneyland. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Teresa’s remarkable life. Teresa’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in all who were fortunate to know her.
