Reynolds Center in Poteau, Oklahoma with Pastor Keith Williams, and Pastor Kemp Holden officiating. Services under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.

Victor was born on May 28, 1954 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to JoAnn (Pebsworth) Sweet and Victor Andrew Sweet Sr. and passed away on December 8, 2022 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He was married to Wenonah (Mathis) Sweet on April 6, 1973 in Spiro, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pastor Victor Sweet was an incredible example of a Godly husband & father; the best father-in-law & grandfather anyone could ever hope for. He had an undeniable ability to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ resulting in a tremendous impact on countless people. The list could continue and still never fully describe the man he was. It is with our hearts absolutely shattered that we have to accept a new reality without him in our lives. At the same time, we must acknowledge that he is no longer in pain, no longer facing an uncertain future, and no longer has to suffer the challenges that coincide with the call to pastor. Now, we are left with hurts only God can heal and questions only God can answer, but we are determined to trust Him and believe that He has a plan. Please pray for the family and the GC3 congregation as we navigate this loss and attempt to embrace our new normal. God is good and He will see us through this difficult time.
Survivors include his wife; son, Erich Sweet and wife Adria; grandchildren, Brinnlee Cruse and husband Jared, Noah Sweet; sister Jana Dover; bonus daughter, Sabrina Covey; numerous other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be John Hopson, John Hendricks, Dustin Armstrong,  Thad Gillham, Buck Covey, and Kane Riggs, Jeff Monks.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Dodd, Johnny McClure, Brandan Ivy, Randy Ginther, and Rob Lawrence.
