Viola “Jody” Joanne Cripps of Heavener, Oklahoma was born on December 15, 1948 in Heavener, Oklahoma to Joseph Lewis and Dolphine Ida (Dorsey) Massey and passed away on June 14, 2021 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 72.
She is survived by:

Mary Anne Davis and husband Steve of the Haw Creek Community
Sarah Cripps and wife Ashley of Clarksburg, West Virginia

Duston Joseph Cripps and wife Sabrina of the Hontubby Community
Matthew Carl Cripps of the Hontubby Community
One sister:
Carla Pryor of Claremore, Oklahoma

12 great-grandchildren
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Cripps; one sister, Ruby Luman; and five brothers, Lewis, Raymond, David, Joe, and Carl Massey.
Jody was a long-time resident of the area and a retired CNA. She was a member of the Heavener First Baptist Church. Jody loved listening and singing all kinds of music and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Jody will be missed by all whom loved and knew her.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2021 at Heavener First Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Sam Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister, Oklahoma under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Kyle Page, Dakota Cripps, Logan Davis, Derek Davis, Justin Davis, Hank Williams, and Gus Williams.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jesse Williams and Justin Page.
Viewing will be from Noon until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. The family will have visitation with friends on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
