Wayne Fields of Big Cedar, Oklahoma was born October 20, 1940 in Big Cedar, Oklahoma to James Marvin and Georgia Roxie (Andrews) Fields and passed away April 9, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 80.

Debra Haley and husband Jason of Crowley, Texas
One nephew:
James Gilbert and wife Shele of San Angelo, Texas

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, James Kenneth Fields. Wayne was a life-long resident of the area, a member of the Big Cedar Freewill Baptist Church, and a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country in Operation Big Lift and Operation Big Thrust. He was also a self-employed rancher, and owned D & W Convenience Store in Big Cedar for many years. Wayne enjoyed watching the deer and turkey in his back yard, as well as watching the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Rangers.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 12, 2021 at the New Home Cemetery Chapel in Big Cedar, Oklahoma with Mr. John Butler officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be from Noon until 6:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
