William “Bill” Lamar Gann, born on August 31, 1956, in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Catherine and Raymond Gann, retired after 39 years of service to Carl Albert State College, and transitioned from a life well-lived to eternal rest on October 25, 2023. His journey was one of purpose, passion, and countless memorable moments shared with those he touched along the way.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and learning. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Gann; brother Tom and wife Debbie Gann of Inola; sister Lorna and husband David Gibbs of Tahlequah; son
Chris and wife Stacie Gann of Owasso with their children Hunter, Harley, and Aaron; son Dustin Gann of Owasso with his children Catherine and Callie Gann; son Mike and wife Nikki Garrett of Wister with
their children Zain, Brock, and Hope; daughter Dena and husband Chris Cox of Spiro with their children Courtney Cox-Rasha, Garrett, Keaton, and Kaden; daughter Leticia and husband Michael
Schelm of Van Buren with their children Laynee, Laila, Keila Tichenor, Nayleigh, Kayloni, and Branson Schelm. His joy was multiplied by his four great-grandchildren. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the many lives he touched.
The Celebration of Life Services will be held 11am – Saturday November 4, 2023, as a Graveside Service at Oakland Cemetery Poteau, Oklahoma with Chaplain Gustavo Calvo officiating. Bill’s Family choose his gravesite for him to be as close to CASC, since his years there meant so much to him and this is where his graveside service will be conducted, not at the cemetery pavilion. Bill’s Honorary Urn Bearers will be his 18 grandchildren: Zain Garrett, Brock Garrett, Hope Garrett, Courtney Cox, Garrett Cox, Keaton Cox, Kaden Cox, Laynee Tichenor, Laila Tichenor, Kelia Tichenor, Kayloni Shelm, Branson Shelm, Nayleigh Shelm, Hunter Gann, Harley Gann, Aaron Gann, Catherine Gann, & Gracie Gann.
