Funeral Service for William Pickle, Jr, 80 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Bill was born on June 26, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee to Catherine Louise (Cain) Pickle and William Clifton Pickle and passed away on October 16, 2023 in Poteau, Oklahoma. He was married to Teri Lynn Anderson on January 21, 1967 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Robert and Ida Cain, and Henry and Celia Pickle.
William C Pickle Jr. was a Certified Public Accountant. He practiced his profession for more than 50 years. His work was his love and his hobby. His clients were his friends.
Bill was a church member all of his life, the last church being Bethel Baptist in Wister. At different times he had been part of a prayer group of friends and businessmen, a Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Rotary Club with 27 years of perfect attendance.
He was an avid reader with an interest in military history. He was a collector of antique cookbooks. He loved his cats and he adored his granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Teri Lynn Pickle; daughter, Susanna Lynn Pickle; son, William Clifton Pickle, III; sister, Sarah Connaster and husband Robert; brothers, Paul Louis Pickle and wife Marilyn, David Henry Pickle and wife Marilyn; and granddaughter, Dakota Rose Pickle.
