#theGAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Eli Marvin, C/DH, Arkansas-Monticello, Sr., Ellsinore, Missouri
Marvin went 14-for-19 across four games to raise his early-season average from .240 to .455. He scored twice and stole a base against Delta State. Against Oklahoma Baptist, he homered and drove in seven in game one. He went 5-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in the second game. In the finale, he hit two home runs, drove in three and scored three runs.
#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Chase Oberle, SP, Ouachita Baptist, Gr., Justin, Texas
Oberle notched his first-career complete game as he defeated East Central, 6-2. In the 111-pitch effort, he limited the Tigers to eight hits. He struck out seven and walked three to pick up his first win of the season. In three starts against East Central, he owns a 3-0 record with a 2.01 ERA. He has 21 strikeouts in 22.1 innings pitched.
#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Easton Hurley, SP, Southern Arkansas, So., Hot Springs, Arkansas
Hurley earned his first victory of the year as he dominated Southern Nazarene in the final game of the series to complete a sweep. He threw 7.0 scoreless innings and he surrendered just three singles. He matched his season high with four strikeouts. In two GAC starts, he has produced a 0.79 ERA.
