RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the baseball players of the week for the third week of the 2024 season. Ouachita Baptist’s Tallon Heine claimed Player of the Week and Southern Arkansas’ Isaiah Haynes earned Pitcher of the Week.

Heine hit .700 in the Tigers GAC-opening series against Northwestern Oklahoma State. He recorded multiple hits in all three games. He doubled and tripled in the series opener. He went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in game two. He went 3-for-3 with a double and a stolen base while reaching base five times in the finale.#theGAC BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Isaiah Haynes, RP, Southern Arkansas, Sr., Katy, Texas
Haynes appeared in all four Mulerider wins and did not allow a hit across 4.0 innings of work. Against Delta State, he struck out the side in the ninth inning of the 15-9 win. Against Southeastern Oklahoma State, he pitched a perfect ninth inning in game one; he struck out the side in game two and struck out two in the finale. He tallied nine strikeouts spanning the four outings.
