The quarterfinals start at 10 a.m. when No. 3 East Central faces No. 6 Southeastern Oklahoma State. The Tigers have set a program record with 17 victories this season. In the regular season, the Tigers recorded five-set victories on September 24 in Durant, Oklahoma and Saturday at home.
The second quarterfinal features second-seeded Harding and seventh-seeded Northwestern Oklahoma State. The Lady Bisons defeated the Rangers, 3-1, on October 18 at home. Harding owns a 3-0 record at the GAC Championships against Northwestern Oklahoma State, highlighted by a four-set victory in the final of the 2022 Championships.
Southwestern Oklahoma State takes on Henderson State in Thursday’s third match. The Bulldogs claimed the program’s first regular-season title and became just the fourth team in GAC history to earn the tournament’s top seed. The Reddies clinched the final spot in the tournament field on Thursday after defeating Arkansas-Monticello. SWOSU defeated Henderson State in three sets on October 24.
Thursday’s action concludes with No. 4 Oklahoma Baptist taking on No. 5 Ouachita Baptist in a rematch of a 2023 quarterfinal affair. The Bison won in three sets and went on to capture their third GAC Championship title. The Bison recorded a four-set home win on October 10 and have won five of the last six in the series.
